Parents wanting a child baptized must attend a preparation class and should be registered members of the Parish. Contact the Church office for details.

Children's Liturgy

Children's Liturgy takes place during the 9:30 a.m. Mass each week during the school year. We truly enjoy teaching your children and appreciate their participation.

Let the children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”      Matthew 19:14

Finance

If you are planning on remembering St. Ann Parish in your will, the following wording should be used: To Bishop of the Diocese of Palm Beach, and the successors in office, for the exclusive  use of St. Ann Parish.

Food Pantry
Thank you to all who are remembering to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry when you come to Mass. Pick up a brown grocery bag at the church entrance and use it to  remind you of your Food Pantry offertory each week.

Gymnatorium and Fine Arts Center

The Gymnatorium and Fine Arts Center is available for parties, wedding receptions, meetings, sporting events, etc. If you have any questions or would like to check on availability, please call the Facilities Coordinator, Carl Scheffler, 762-7175.

Religious Education Volunteers Needed

Anyone interested in volunteering for any aspect of our religious education program, please contact Sr. Pat in the Parish Office, 832-2757.

Re-Membering Church

According to a Gallup statistic, the Roman Catholic Church is the largest denominational church in the United States with a membership of more than 70 million. But a little known fast is that the second largest denomination is a group of more than 25 million who are non-practicing or alienated Catholics. If you know someone who has been away from  the church and who may be ready to come back, please contact Marsha or Michael Burkhardt at 967-8999 or call the church office for details about Re-Membering Meetings. Four sessions are held each year-- one after Easter, one after Christmas, one in early summer and one in the fall.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

RCIA is a process for adults seeking to become Catholic. Sr. Pat and a team will meet with inquirers on Wednesdays from 7-8:30 PM. Becoming Catholic does not depend on how much you know,  but the desire to deepen your relationship with Christ within the Catholic Church. For further details contact the Parish Office at 832-3757.

St. Ann School

A Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, St. Ann offers a challenging high school preparatory program that includes an award winning Fine Arts Department. Students are required to take a musical instrument of their choice, and our band and strings program perform in state-wide competitions. The physical education program, including intramural and extracurricular sports, takes place in our new Gymnatorium. Students also participate in special subjects including Technology, Media and Spanish. Call now for a personal tour and interview with Dr. Patrice Scheffler, Principal, at 561 832-3676.

Substance Abuse Ministry

Substance abuse problem? Help is available. Pick up a brochure in the back of Church  or call our Substance Abuse Ministry at 561 832-3757. All calls are confidential.

Community Services

"I was hungry and you gave me to eat"

Shortly after the opening of the Community Services Office in August 2001 we drafted a mission statement                         that was meant to give a focus to our ministries. It said:

The Community Services Office of St. Ann Church was established to help people in need. Our goal is                                 to engage parishioners in identifying needs, developing and participating in projects and volunteering for                                services that fulfill the Gospel message of Jesus: "Whatever you do the least of my brothers and sisters,                             you do to me" (Mt.25:40)

Now, five years later, we look back and see how wonderfully you have helped to make that                                      statement not just something to be framed and referred to occasionally, but rather a way of life                                              for this parish. We are indeed what the parish letterhead proclaims, "The Catholic Community                               Serving Downtown."

St. Ann Place

Spreading the Word

St. Ann Place depends entirely on grants and donations for its income so we are trying to                                                      reach out to neighboring parishes to solicit support for the Center. We have spoken to two                                                      parish groups but we’d like to visit others. If you have friends and relatives in parishes (Catholic                                               or not) nearby who can arrange for us to speak about our ministry please give Sister                                                              Carleen a call at (561) 805-7708.

Items that are always needed at St. Ann Place are shaving cream, underwear -medium                                                          or large; socks; sample sizes of personal items like toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap,                                                             shampoo, razors and deodorant. Men's jeans - sizes 30, 32, 34 and men's T-shirts.

Thank you to each of you who respond so often when we ask for things we need for                                                             the poor!

Thanks!  Sister Carleen
