We are happy to announce that St. Ann Catholic School is currently in the process of becoming an International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme School. The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is an exciting program designed for middle school aged students. The MYP framework of academic, arts, and life skills is a natural choice for the tradition of excellence at St. Ann Cathoic School.
The MYP is designed to support all middle school aged students in becoming active and responsible participants in an international world by developing knowledge, understanding, and positive attitudes. This is done by a curriculum of eight subject areas working together to create connections with the real world and encouraging critical thinking.
In the past year, St. Ann Catholic School has been training Teachers and students for this wonderful opportunity. Our goal is to become an IB MYP Candidate School in early 2008 and an MYP World School by the 2009-2010 academic year! If you have any questions or would like more information- please visitwww.ibo.org, or contact Bridgid Medlin, IB coordinator atbmedlin@stannwpb.org.
