Over the years, the St. Ann campus has evolved and now boasts the beautiful Jan Claire Kemper Gymnatorium and Mary Alice Fortin Fine Arts Center. The facilities support a variety of music, dance, drama and visual arts programs, as well as numerous competitive and intramural sports and extracurricular activities.
Art & Drama Curriculum
The Art and Drama curriculum at St. Ann Catholic School is a unique and creative blend of both visual and performing arts. This allows for the students to learn how to effectively communicate with others and express themselves though the arts.
In Visual Art, students are exposed to Studio Art, Art History, Art Criticism, and Art Aesthetics. Students create art using the Elements and Principals of Design and a variety of mediums including:
- Pencil and ink drawing
- Watercolor and acrylic painting
- Paper collage
- Clay
- Sculpture
- Printmaking
- Collage
The students’ artwork is entered in a number of local and national contests, displayed in our school, used for Drama productions, and showcased in an annual Art Show.
In Drama, St. Ann Catholic School students are instructed in the art of musical theater. Students learn to work together, rehearse, and create live stage performances. This confidence building subject teaches students acting skills, technical theater skills, choreography, singing, memorization, and respect. St. Ann Catholic Students participate in a variety of annual Drama performances including:
- The Christmas Musical
- The Talent Show
- A Broadway-style Spring Musical
Music

St. Ann is pleased to offer a unique Music program. From PK3 to Grade 4, students attend General Music classes. Beginning in grade 5, they begin to explore other musical options including voice and instrumental music.
Music education is a part of the a student’s regular curriculum; it is not relegated to merely afterschool because we believe every student can benefit from the exposure to playing a musical instrument.
Technology

It is vital that our students are comfortable with technology in this “Age of Information”.
Students will learn good habits of discourse while navigating the world wide web and will understand the importance of evaluating web sites and retrieved data so they may qualify the validity of the information they choose to utilize. Through the use of the Middle Years Programme Design Cycle, students become knowledable in information technology, systems, and materials.
Technology requires an adaptable user who understands the benefit of lifelong learning. We hope to foster the natural curiosity that all students possess to help them achieve that very goal. The skills the students learn in the lab will serve them throughout their academic years and beyond.
Spanish/ Language B
For close to 30 years, St Ann Catholic School has been offering enrichment in Spanish to all our Students in Pre-k through 8th Grade.
Our current Spanish/Language B program provides our students with second language instruction that meet State or diocesan requirements.
Our Second language program’s goal is to provide each of our students with the knowledge and ability to use both English and Spanish. While students naturally vary in their skills level, we are very proud to promote the importance of second–language acquisition by providing a strong Spanish program.
Our Spanish curriculum includes reading comprehension, writing, speaking, vocabulary and international awareness. Students also become more internationally aware through cultural studies within their Spanish curriculum. To focus in this students learn and make real-life connections in different cultural activities:
- Celebrations of Spanish heritage month
- Learning on the Stage (Spanish musical Theater presentation)
- Cinco de Mayo celebration.
- Spanish projects (power points, oral, writing and visual presentations)
- Introduction to the Literature Espanola. (El famoso Don Quixote de la Mancha)
- Students participate in talent show presentations connected with our Drama Curriculum. Students enjoy and use the second language in the presentations.
- Musical show participation connected with drama and music curriculum.
